Looking for a fun party appetizer? This neat idea for fruit kabobs showed up in my Facebook feed awhile ago and I happened to be hosting Girl’s Night soon, so I gave it a try!
My presentation might not be the best, but I didn’t want to buy anything extra, so I worked with what I had. You can jazz it up with a nice tray or platter. It’s all pretty self-explanatory, but here are some notes:
- You only need 25 blueberries, so even if you buy a small pack of them, you will have a lot leftover! This was actually my first experience eating a blueberry! It didn’t taste like much of anything, so I sent the rest of them home with a kind friend.
- This took about 6 bananas.
- You could get by with one regular pack of strawberries but I was very selective about them and wanted to only use “pretty” ones, so I bought two packs. The leftovers are still yummy to enjoy!
- Add a dish of fruit dip, and yum!
These fruit kabobs would be fun for Memorial Day, 4th of July, Veterans Day, any military occasion, or just a fun patriotic party! My Girl’s Night happened to be a few days after the 4th of July, so it was a belated festive touch. And being that I lack in cooking skills, this was super easy for me! 🙂
