Simply Save

Hi and welcome to Simply Save!

Simply Save is about finding the balance between planning for the future and enjoying the present by living with intention. Look for posts about saving money, simplifying life, sustainability, minimalism, and living with intention. Subscribe to my posts to keep up with the latest content!

We are all so busy in life that these ideas are designed to be simple and require minimal effort.

I’m by no means a personal finance expert, so these are just some tips and tricks I’ve picked up here and there. Some other things you’ll find in my blog are minimalism and rethinking our wants and needs, small touches of eco-friendly living, and ways to simplify your life.

A little about myself: My name is Heather and I live outside of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. I blog part-time and work full-time. I also juggle homeownership, volunteering, and tackling my massive reading list. I’ve been called a crazy cat lady and I may have a slight addiction to Dr Pepper. Simply Save is here to help you live the good life at a cheaper price.

Happy saving!

  1. Hi Heather, I love your attitude – “it’s about finding ways to maintain your current standard of living at a cheaper cost.” It’s absolutely the way to go, and I’m always pleasantly surprised at the positive results. When I look at all the things you’re juggling, I’ll bet the puppy gives you a proverbial “run for your money”! Wishing you all the best, Terri

    • Thanks for your kind words Terri! I’m glad you’re enjoying the blog. It makes my day to hear about someone benefiting from my little tips and tricks! The dog definitely keeps me on my toes! But if only writing papers for school was an enjoyable as writing for the blog….Take care!

  3. Hi Heather. I just found your site by saving a pin from Pinterest. I have already subscribed to your e-mail. But I was reading the comments on your “about” page and noticed that they were from 2013 and 2015. Are you still blogging about saving or are all the entries from the past? Just curious! I am hoping you are still currently blogging! I love what I have already read and look forward to reading the whole site. Hoping you are having a blessed day!

    • Hi Rebecca, thanks for reaching out! I do still blog but not regularly anymore and it’s not only save money these days. It’s evolved into minimalism, books, and simple/intentional living. I try to post once a week these days. 🙂 I hope you’ll keep reading!

  4. Hey Heather,

I recently came across your site and I’m wondering if I can post one of my articles here.

I’ve been writing up home improvement articles too and would love the chance to write

on your blog but I couldn’t manage to find your email. If you could get a hold of me at

ikatie.jones@outlook.com? I would greatly appreciate it.
